45. Application of these conditions to the substrate 4-bromotoluene resulted in small amount of homocoupled product formation. By lowering the temperature to 60°C and using 3 equiv of phenyltrimethoxysilane, the amount of homocoupled product was effectively reduced. These conditions are general for all other substrates described in this study.
