    • It is important to note the difference between the tasks that researchers perform with scientific visualization tools in the course of their research activities and those that they perform in order to prepare results for publication or other communicative acts. Many of the additional elements that researchers add to scientific visualizations to support communication with others are the same elements that we have found are necessary in the user interface of working environments for learners.
