    • No hints for a previously reported (2√2×2√2)R45° symmetry (Ref. 29) were detectable at saturation coverage. As pointed out by Lange et al. (Ref. 21), the latter symmetry can most probably be attributed to a superposition of the (2×1) monolayer and (2×2) multilayer symmetries, which is to be expected under the conditions of the experiment reported in Ref. 29.
