Temperature stabilization of fiber bragg grating vibration sensor

The authors tried to stabilize an FBG vibration sensor with a newly developed narrow-spectrum optical source that consists of an FBG, a broad-spectrum light source and an optical circulator, in which the wavelength of the source shifts in the same manner as the Bragg reflection wavelength of the sensing FBG does. They obtained the temperatureinduced variation in sensitivity as small as 3 dB which was more than 55 dB without stabilization: W. Thongnum, N. Takahashi, and S.
