    • Speculating a little outside the scope of the present paper, one might ask whether the human brain, which is capable of solving such pattern recognition problems very well, actually makes use of similar quantum effects. Although this idea has some appealing aspects (consider optical illusions, for example), it appears to be somewhat unlikely.
