    • As mentioned previously, the one exception is a previous publication by this author in the journal Labour that utilized an exhaustive set of demographic groups. The reason the NLSY has not been utilized may in fact be due to the small number of non-U.S. citizens in the 1990 database. However, we did not find this to be a significant problem since from the entire sample that was used in our previous article, (6,258), approximately ten percent were non-U.S. citizens.
