In 1992 the Commission adopted a long-range plan which included a5 one of its level one objectives the carrying out of the Working Meeting on Research Issues in Electronic Records' recommendations. Since that time the Commission has supported a number of research projects related to electronic records including the New York State Archives and Records Administration's Building Partnership Project and the Indiana University Electronic Records Project, designed to test the Pittsburgh Project's Functional Requirements for Recordkeeping.
