    • It is not necessary to confirm the presence of built-in electric field in our structures since the existence of a light-induced current independent of both light direction and polarization as well as of the orientation of crystallographic axis, is, in itself, such a confirmation. Most likely, this field is related to an uncontrolled asymmetric ionization of interface donor states (see e.g., H. Kroemer, C. Nguyen, and B. Brar, J. Vac. Sci. Technol. B 10, 1769 (1992)).
