24. A search of the Cambridge Structural Database for 2-substituted pyridine and pyridinium moieties gave 459 and 60 examples, respectively. In the former the mean values for the Cl-N1-C5 and N1-C5-C4 angles were 117.3 and 122.4° respectively, while in the latter these mean angles were 122.9 and 118.4°, respectively.
