    • note
    • DIONE HILLS, after some years as a researcher with the Department of Health, joined The Tavistock Institute 12 years ago, and since then has been involved in a wide range of evaluation studies relating to the delivery of services in the health and welfare sectors. As part of the Institute's Evaluation Development and Review Unit (EDRU), she has been involved in evaluating programs and services in fields in which service users form an increasingly articulate pressure group, the most recent of which was a European program for disabled people. In this context, she has become increasingly interested in the implications of this work, both for the process of evaluation, for the research team, and for the researchers themselves.
