More precisely, for the Pr samples, the Sr 3d line shape was almost identical between the different compositions, whereas for the Er samples, it varied slightly with composition on the high-binding-energy side of the peak. In order to estimate the energy shift, we used the position of the slope on the lower-binding-energy side of the peak for the Pr samples with higher precision and the peak positions for the Er samples, although only the peak positions are indicated in the figure for clarity.
