    • 3H-GGPP incubations with a cell-free extract of P. elisabethae. The stereochemistry of 2 at C1 is opposite to that of some of the pseudopterosins (e.g. 3-5). This could be explained by an epimerization at this site or the formation of the C1 epimer of 2 as the precursor to this group of pseudopterosins. Details of the biosynthetic experiments will be published elsewhere
