Manios graduated from Medical School of Thessaloniki University in 1984. He worked as a resident at the Department of Plastic Surgery of "Saint Savvas" Anticancer Institute of Athens. He received his Ph.D. in 1995 at Crete University. Since 1996 he has been serving as Plastic Surgeon in the Department of Surgical Oncology of Crete University. His main research interests include dynamics of wound healing, nonlinear finite element analysis of skin flaps, automated differential diagnosis of pigmented skin lesions and the development of 2D and 3D medical imaging software for surgical planning. Androniki D. Tosca graduated from Medical School of Thessaloniki University in 1972. She received her Ph.D. in 1977 at Athens University. From 1987 to 1995, she has worked as Associate Professor at Athens and Crete University. From 1995, she is Professor of Dermatology at Crete University. She has published many works in international journals. Her main research interests include wound healing, skin culture, photodynamic treatment and automated differential diagnosis of pigmented skin lesions. Evaggelos Volakakis graduated from Romania Medical School Iasi "Gr T. Popa" in 1996. Since 2000 he is a resident of Surgical Oncology Department of Crete University. His main research interest is evaluation of growth factors in wound Healing. Moshoula G. Livadara received her B.Sc. at Long Island University of New York in Medical Microbiology in 1986. Received her M.Sc. at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York in 1989. From 1991, She is Director of Microbiology Department at the Institute of Marine Biology of Crete. Her main research interest is the water pollution of Cretan Sea and the development of methods to measure the number of cells in skin cultures. Dimitris-Andreas Tsiftsis graduated from Medical School of Athens in 1970. From 1972 to 1976, he worked as a resident at the Department of Surgery of Athens University. He received his Ph.D. in 1989 at Athens University. From 1980 to 1992, he worked as an Associate Professor at Athens and Crete University. From 1984, he is a Fellow of American College of Surgeons. Since 1992 he is Professor of Surgery at Crete University. He has published many works in International Literature on various topics. His research interests include the application of Medical Decision Making in clinical practice, Computer Assisted Diagnosis, Melanoma and Breast Cancer.
