1. We have found more than 80 papers including "Shack-Hartmann" in the header using NEC Researchindex. A great majority is related to astronomy, and deals with adaptive optics control. These last years, ophtalmology is the emerging subject.
2. Theoretical descriptions of Shack-Hartmann are found at the beginning of the above referenced papers. They are always based on the model originally proposed by Shack, in which lenslets are considered independently.
