    • 3 (prepared as described in ref 6) were treated in situ with 3 equiv of MeMgI at - 40 °C. The change of the solution color to yellow and the precipitation of inorganic salts were observed over the course of 20 min. Heating the solutions to 0 °C immediately led to their darkening and then to the appearance of a metallic mirror on the inside surface of the reaction flask.
