    • Bolliger CT, Gueckel C, Engel H, et al.: Prediction of functional reserves after lung resection: comparison between quantitative computed tomography, scintigraphy, and anatomy. Respiration 2002, 69:482-489. In this Swiss study comprising 44 lung resection candidates, the best methods to predict postoperative function were perfusion scans and quantitative CT of the chest. Calculations based on nonoccluded lung segments to be resected were less accurate but were deemed satisfactory for predictions after lobectomy.
