5. The preparation of anils had been carried out in vigorous conditions while the acetone was introduced to the anilines being heated to 200 °C with removing of water. In this work, the reaction is carried out by simple refluxing of the mixture of acetone and aniline in the presence of iodine as the catalyst at 60 °C.
