    • In particular, we stress that "self-energy shifts" should not be introduced in the Kohn-Sham response - even if that procedure were to yield apparent agreement with the data. Unfortunately, such uncontrolled approximation, particularly involving GW self-energy shifts, has become rather common in the literature.
