    • 13C NMR spectrum. which showed that in the absence of acetate anion carbonyl carbon containing trifluoroacetyl group showed up at δ 180 as a quartet due to the two bond coupling with three fluorine atoms, but this signal was shifted at δ94 in the presence of acetate ion, indicating that acetate ion binds with trifluoroacetyl group directly.
