29. Although the effect of ion bombardment on the coupling is observed on all investigated samples, its absolute value varies from sample to sample. This is due to slight variations of the interface roughness of the prepared trilayers. Therefore, for a quantitative description of the bombardment effect on a given sample, the STM data of this particular sample must be used.
