    • The concentration of R6G is 3 and 2 μM at points B and C, respectively. Therefore, the contribution of dilution to the intensity decrease in one-third of the original intensity (i.e. 120/3 = 40). As seen in Figure 10, the decrease in intensity is about 90 (=120 - 30) on going from point B to C. The difference between the values 40 and 90 can be ascribed to the energy transfer quenching.
