Br J Obstet Gynaecol 2002; 109:624-626. This study is especially important in the light of the recent practice of cesarean section for all breech presentations. Risk of uterine rupture during labor among women with a prior cesarean delivery
-
Lydon-Rochelle M, Holt VL, Easterling TR, Martin DP. Risk of uterine rupture during labor among women with a prior cesarean delivery. N Engl J Med 2001; 345:54-55. This is a large population-based retrospective cohort analysis of 20 095 second pregnancies in patients with one previous cesarean section. When compared with elective repeat cesarean section, there was a significantly increased risk of uterine rupture (based on ICD-9 codes) after induction of labour, especially when prostaglandins were used.

Trial of labor after 40 weeks' gestation in women with prior cesarean
-
Zelop CM, Shipp TD, Cohen A, et al. Trial of labor after 40 weeks' gestation in women with prior cesarean. Obstet Gynecol 2001; 97:391-393.
