Note
-
Valuable part of field data collection through questionnaires was conducted under the supervision of Mr. Kamrul Islam, Principle Scientific Officer, Cotton Research Center, Banderban. The efforts of the field assistants working at the Upazila level are highly acknowledged. Many of the laboratory analyses were conducted at the SRDI laboratories at Dhaka and Comilla. Special thanks are due to all the tribal farmers who made it possible to complete the questionnaires and offered free access to their Jhum fields for our research workers. We also acknowledge the financial support of DANIDA, Denmark and SRDI, Bangladesh.
