This is one of few reports describing the use of percutaneous RF ablation to treat four patients with metastatic adrenocortical carcinoma. Four to 8 weeks after the procedure the lesions were smaller, nonenhancing, or had completely disappeared. The authors suggest that with durable responses, this procedure may prolong survival in patients with metastatic adrenal carcinoma.
