    • Technically, the static source belongs to the vacuum, so that the second diagram in Fig. 6, which appears to be a self-energy correction of the source, in fact contributes to the vacuum energy. Diagrammatically, the double line is not counted as an external line, consequently the second diagram is considered to be unlinked.
