    • Presented at Gomberg 2000: a century of organic free radical chemistry by the International Society of Organic free radicals, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor June 25-29, 2000. Mono- and dinitrobenzyl bromides were reduced by BNAH upon irradiation and in the dark, respectively. Spin-trapping and cyclic voltammetry results support SET mechanism. Mononitrobenzyl bromides are inert in the dark.
