    • This is the first randomized trial of a prolonged monitoring strategy (with an implantable loop recorder) versus a conventional diagnostic cascade for patients with unexplained syncope. The implantable loop recorder resulted in a diagnosis in 55% of patients compared with only 19% for the conventional strategy
