11. Note that, in fact, the argument should be based on the Dirac delta function. For instance, in one dimension the derivative of the Heaviside function, τ(x)=1 for x>0 and τ(x)=0 for x≤0, is the Dirac delta function δ(x)=∂τ(x)/∂x, which is divergent at the origin. However, the product f(x)∂τ(x)/∂x vanishes everywhere including the origin if we impose that f(0)=0. The function f plays the role of D ψ here.
