This is the latest Japanese report on laparoscopic prostatectomy. The authors believe that this method will be one of the treatment modalities for organ-confined prostate cancer.

Nippon Hinyokika Gakkai Zasshi 2001, 92:506. This is the first Japanese report on laparoscopic prostatectomy. Although the number of patients the paper reports on is only five, this paper shows laparoscopic prostatectomy to be feasible in Japan.
