In the calcuration, a thickness value of a thin film is needed. However, we cannot estimate the exact value, so we chose a thickness of a thin film (≈680 Å) so that the calculation could converge in the whole photon energy region.

The optical spectrum in the mid-infrared region is sensitive to inhomogeneity of a thin film (refs. 28 and 29). The thin films were confirmed to be atomically flat by an atomic force microscope and spectroscopically homogeneous by microscope spectroscopy with a spatial resolution of 50 μm.
