    • All calculations were performed with the Spartan program (Wavefunction, Inc.) on a Silicon Graphics O2 workstation. The geometries of 1-3 were optimized using semiempirical calculations (PM3). Distances were then measured as proton-proton centroid distances as shown in Figure 1.
