(a) These factors include: (i) the use of equilibrium kinetic models that may not include all the possible relevant states or processes, (ii) changes in temperature (used in Arrhenious analyses) certainly affect more than simply kT, (iii) the mixing between the charge-separated states may not simply be thermal in character (dictated by free energy gaps) but also quantum mechanical in nature (dictated by energy gaps) and thus that small entropic contributions (which are temperature dependent) may be important, (iv) there are likely both dynamic relaxation events and static distributions that may affect the applicable (free) energy gaps between the states.
