Lüning et al. reported in Ref. 11b that pyridine-bridged calix[6]arene 10 existed exclusively in a cone conformation while 11 without a methoxy group existed as a mixture of two conformers. The major isomer of 11 was undoubtedly the cone conformer but only ambiguous information was reported about the structure of the minor component.
