For values of r smaller than, but very close to, (Formula presented) the chaotic attractor coexists with the fixed points (Formula presented) but this is of minor importance here

A stricter way to define (Formula presented) and A would be to pass to the two-dimensional manifold, where the subcrirical Hopf bifurcation takes place. In this two-dimensional manifold a Ginzburg-Landau (GL) equation should be found in such a way that (Formula presented) and A are strictly defined. Nonetheless, our definitions are one to one related with those whose definition came from the GL equation. Furthermore, it would be intriguing how to cast a definition valid for (Formula presented) and (Formula presented) Hence the important features of the dynamics will be readily provided by our operational definitions
