Fry, Ph.D., is currently research professor at Trinity Western University. She has 30 years of teaching and research experience previously at the University of Calgary, Alberta. A former Fulbright Scholar, Woodrow Wilson Scholar, and Killam Scholar, she has been the recipient of several research grants, more recently for her work in women's health (British Columbia Health Research Foundation Grant to P. S. Fry and V. K. Kuehne) and violence against women (Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada Strategic Grant to P. S. Fry and P.T.P. Wong). She is a registered practicing psychologist and has worked extensively with female victims of domestic violence. She is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association, Canadian Psychological Association, American Psychological Society, and British Psychological Society. Lisa A. Barker has a master's degree in counseling psychology and 8 years of experience working with individuals affected by trauma. She has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of treatment settings, including residential and out-patient drug and alcohol addiction treatment programs and domestic violence and sexual abuse recovery programs. She is currently active in several research and evaluation projects in the field of trauma.
