Evidence for site memory effects in the ionic relaxation of
-
The mechanical loss and electrical conductivity spectra of mixed lithium-sodium germanate glasses are analyzed. The author finds that in the mixed alkali glasses with low total alkali oxide contents, the loss peak and of the mechanical loss peak differ considerably. However, these frequencies approach each other when the total alkali oxide content is increased. This remarkable observation is explained in terms of site in the 'dynamic structure model' by Bunde, Ingram and Maass (J Non-Cryst Solids 1994;172-174:1222-36)

Dynamic structure factor and acoustic attenuation in disordered solid electrolytes

In this fundamental theoretical work, it is shown that by using linear response theory, the mechanical loss of ion conducting solids can be related to the coherent dynamic structure factor of the mobile ions, mechanical loss caused by mobile ions in the counter ion model is calculated with the help of Monte Carlo simulations
