25. The alignment stage consists of two pieces. The first piece is a xyz micrometer that has a glass slide immobilized onto the x-axis stage. The second piece has a glass slide attached to a rotational stage, which is mounted on a two-axis tilt platform. Both pieces are set on a rail carrier, by which the distance between the two pieces can be adjusted along a dovetail rail. The two glass slides are used to attach conformally the two PDMS layers for alignment This entire alignment assembly measures less than 3 in. in width.
