    • -8 Torr of cyclopropane. Observed intensity ratios were similar to those reported in the National Institute of Standards and Technology World Wide Web site, http://webbook.nist.gov/chemistry/, that cyclopropane was the primary desorption product. Standards for methane, ethane, propane, propene, and propyne were also examined, and the fragmentation pattern was inconsistent with these species. In experiments to determine the possibility of C-C bond formation, no species with masses greater than 44 amu were detected.

    • -7 Torr. The fragmentation ratio for the cyclopropane parent (m/e = 42) relative to the m/e = 29 fragment that overlaps with propane was 17%. The same ratio was observed in the blank batch reactor experiments.
