The diameters of the F and H blocks differ by < 20%. The fits to the uniform cross-section model were good and yielded well-defined, reasonable values for the 3 fit parameters: length, tilt and overall intensity. In view of this, and the smooth and structureless shape of the BR curves, the additional complication of using a model with two different cross-sections and twice the number of fit parameters was not deemed justified.
