The phosphonites 6-(2-tert-butyl-4-methoxyphenyl)dibenz[c,e]-1,2-oxaphosphorine and di(2,4-di-tert-butylphenyl)phenylphosphonite derived from simple phenols gave n-selectivities of 37.1 and 32.3%, respectively, under the conditions described in Table 4 and with a Rh:P ratio of 1:10.
