25. The negativeness of the MCLE does not necessarily mean CS or GS. A possibility is the period-doubled synchronization, found by Rulkov et al. (see 8), where the response is a period-doubled version of the drive, which is not a one-to-one relation. For the systems proposed in the present paper, the negative NCLE does correspond to the implement of GS.
