This is the first place where the hypothesis analogous to the later chaotic hypothesis was formulated (for fluids): however the idea was exposed orally at least since the talks given to illustrate the technical work (Ref. 2), which appeared as a preprint and was submitted for publication in 1973 but was in print three years later.
