note
-
A necessary feature of these experiments was the use of a holographic notch filter, placed immediately outside the experimental chamber, to attenuate the elastically scattered laser light collected by the signal fiber. Thus, Raman scattered light from the fused silica core of the optical fiber was prevented from interfering with the NM Raman signal.

K. M. Ogilvie, G. E. Duvall, and R. Collins, SHOCKUP code (Washington State University, Pullman, WA, 1984), unpublished. This code performs stepwise loading calculations for liquids by successive impedance matching at the sample-window interfaces. Loading states off the principal Hugoniot are located using EOS information for the sample and window materials.
