    • The rate of decay for 1 is also increased as the sample is converted. Preliminary experiments show that 1 is quenched by the products. Diphenylamine, carbazole, and 2,4,6-trimethylpyridine react with 1 near the diffusion limit. The mechanisms of these quenching reactions are currently under investigation.
