ACNM Washington (DC) Melissa Avery completed the nurse-midwifery program at the University of Kentucky in 1981. She is currently Associate Professor and Nurse-Midwifery Program Director at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA School of Nursing, and she participates in full-scope practice with HealthPartners nurse-midwifery service. She serves as a member of the Governing Board of the ACNM Division of Research and the Board of Review of the ACNM Division of Accreditation.
