    • K and its power law dependence on A, are valid also for a simpler model where the levels belong to the same symmetry representation. In this case, however, the level repulsion makes it difficult to organize the degeneracy of spin-singlet and triplet states. This is why we prefer the model in use. Besides, it is experimentally relevant [5].
