    • The ion heating time of the cold lattice should not be confused with the electron cooling time, which is given in Refs. [30-32] as the characteristic equilibration time. This time (≈ 1 ps) is much shorter because of the low heat capacity of a degenerate electron gas compared to the heat capacity of the heavy particles.
