    • The pressure field is solved using a Fourier method assuming a periodic boundary condition. Strictly speaking, periodic boundary conditions are not satisfied in the em cell. It is expected that this has little influence on the pressure fields away from the boundaries.

    • The menisci bordering the soap film can cause current leakage, and therefore affect the thickness measurements. However, such an effect was found to be small.
