20. On refluxing the endo isomer 16 (orange crystals, mp 199 °C) in o-dichlorohenzene for 10h. afforded the exo isomer (yellow crystals, mp 192 °C), thus confirming the stereochemistry of the adducts.
21. Stereochemistry of the products was ascertained from the coupling constant of the bridgehead proton; the J value 6 HZ is in agreement with the endo-isomer.
