    • Regulation of hormone-induced histone hyperacetylation and gene activation via acetylation of an acetylase
    • This report provides a novel regulatory mechanism in hormonal signaling. It shows that a hormone receptor co-factor ACTR, which is itself an acetylase, is regulated by acetylation. In contrast to p53 and MyoD, acetylated ACTR disrupts the HAT co-activator complex to attenuate transcription.
